Manfred Pade's

RGB LED Garden Lights Project

During the summer of 2010, Manfred Pade set out to add some color to his outdoor garden display using the LED Rainbow and standard garden lighting holders. What he accomplished is truly amazing. Manfred has created his YouTube video of his presentation (presented here on the left) and has followed up with a full step-by-step guide on creating your own garden display.

Manfred also had a custom sequence added to his controller which was a very slow fading sequence that is very difficult to notice. Below is the code which he has shared which you can program into your own controller should you desire a slow fade effect as well.

dt 235, 200, 255, 000, 000 ; Fade to red over 5 minutes, hold for 10 seconds
dt 235, 200, 255, 255, 000 ; Fade to yellow over 5 minutes, hold for 10 seconds
dt 235, 200, 000, 255, 000 ; Fade to green over 5 minutes, hold for 10 seconds
dt 235, 200, 000, 255, 255 ; Fade to cyan over 5 minutes, hold for 10 seconds
dt 235, 200, 000, 000, 255 ; Fade to blue over 5 minutes, hold for 10 seconds
dt 235, 200, 255, 000, 255 ; Fade to magenta over 5 minutes, hold for 10 seconds
dt 255 ; end of sequence

Congratulations Manfred on a tremendous display and especially for taking the time to document for others to enjoy.
