The Electronic Dice Kit is a simplistic and entertaining project which can be built by the novice kit builder in about 1 hour. Power to the circuit in through by a 4.5v to 5v DC power source and once powered up, simply press the Roll button (S1) and the dice will roll. After a few seconds, the display will show the value of your roll through a combination of the seven LEDs.
Power: Power to the circuit is through the power connector at J1 and requires 4.5v – 5v DC

Principle of Circuits:
The circuit is consists of a pulse generator and a decimal counting circuit. The multivibrator is formed by NE555 and the associated components. After pressing S1, Q1 is on and PIN 3 of NE555 outputs pulses to the counter. Five output ends of CD4017 output the high level by turns. Seven LED light up and indicate 1-6 points with the results of the different combination between resistors and driver transistors.
