Anderson Powerpole® connectors are a popular choice for electrical connections in the Amateur Radio, Robotics/FIRST Robotics and eBike communities.

Each Anderson Powerpole® connector consists of two major parts. The housing and the electrical contacts. Housings are available in eleven different colours, with Red and Black being the most popular. The electrical contacts are available in three current ratings including 15A (accepts 20-16 AWG wiring), 30A (accepts 16-12 AWG wiring) and 45A (accepts 14-10 AWG wiring). The 15A, 30A and 45A contacts all fit into the same housing.

The preferred assembly of the contacts is through crimping of the terminals, although they can also be soldered.

Powerpole® connectors are genderless, meaning the supply and load connectors are the same. Since there is no male or female parts, all Powerpole® connectors mate with themselves. Powerpole connectors become polarized when the housings slide together via molded-in dovetails on the housing.

The Powerpole® insulated housings use a durable, high impact-resistant, high-temperature polycarbonate plastic with a flammability rating. The connector design allows air to flow through the housing, assisting in cooling.

Powerpole® connectors use a stainless-steel spring, which applies pressure to hold the contacts firmly together and maintain constant contact. This is ideal for frequent connect and disconnect cycles.

This mounting comes pre-assembled with four Powerpole connectors pre-installed in the panel mount, along with four contacts of your choice (15A, 30A, or 45A). The mounting hole for the assembly is 1 1/8" in diameter and a standard hole-saw or drill is all that is required for mounting.
