It is quite clear that vocational and technical education have suffered from years of neglect and indifference. As a result, as a community, we find ourselves scrambling to find the technicians, engineers and scientists needed to keep our increasingly complex systems operating.
Infrastructure is deteriorating at an accelerating pace and companies go begging for qualified people to fill a growing number of critical positions. We need to support the next generations.
To support the revival of technical education, we are proud to offer discounts to:
- post secondary students (10% off orders $50 or more before taxes and shipping)
- registered educational institutions (15% off orders $75 or more before taxes and shipping)
- community continuing-education and post secondary institution programs (15% off orders $75 or more before taxes and shipping)
- amateur radio clubs and makerspaces (15% off orders $75 or more before taxes and shipping)
- science outreach and after-school programs (15% off orders $75 or more before taxes and shipping)
PCBoard.ca and our sister site Make-It.ca have been actively supporting the hobbyist communities both online and through mail-order operations since the mid 70’s.
Discounts are available on all products we offer on the website. The online store automatically applies your discount at checkout. There is no need to request special quotes. You cannot stack the educational discount with other discounts. Minimum order threshold value is before shipping and taxes.
How To Register
Create an account on the system. Once you have created your account, return to this page and complete the Educator Discount Program Application below. We will proceed to validate the information and update your account so that the discount will automatically be applied to orders you enter on the system. We will confirm acceptance to you by Email, usually within 24 hours.
We want to make it as easy as possible for educators to register. Please limit requests to genuine educator requests.
