ATX Power Supply Breakout Board – 3.3V / 5V / 12V / −12V Outputs
An ATX power supply breakout board that converts a standard 20‑pin or 24‑pin PC power supply into a convenient bench power source. Connect an ATX PSU and access regulated rails at +3.3 V, +5 V, +12 V, −12 V, plus 5 VSB (standby) for always‑on logic. (Works with 20‑pin and 24‑pin ATX connectors.)
Front‑panel screw terminals provide quick connections for project wiring, while six onboard USB ports deliver 5 V power for peripherals and devices. Status LEDs indicate power good, and an onboard switch controls PSU on/off without unplugging. Ideal for prototyping, test jigs, CNC, and classroom labs.
Key Features
- Compatible with 20‑pin or 24‑pin ATX power supplies
- Accessible +3.3 V, +5 V, +12 V, −12 V and 5 VSB rails
- Six USB ports, each providing 5 V up to 2.1 A (device‑dependent)
- Power‑good indicator LEDs for quick visual status
- Onboard power switch to toggle the PSU on/off
- Screw terminal block for clean, tool‑free wiring
Applications
- Bench power for electronics prototyping and education
- Power distribution for CNC controllers and test fixtures
- Repurposing surplus PC ATX supplies for hobby projects
Notes
- Standard ATX supplies provide the main rails (+3.3 V, +5 V, +12 V) and 5 VSB standby;
PS_ON#logic is used to switch the main rails—handled by the onboard switch on this adapter. - USB output current depends on the PSU capability and connected device draw.
- Observe correct polarity and fuse ratings on the attached PSU. For best results, use a known‑good ATX unit sized for your load.
