Precision Microcontroller Ready Temperature Sensor Cable Assembly

The DS18B20 is a precision 1-wire digital temperature sensor (±0.5°C over much of the range). It works with any microcontroller and requires only one data pin. 

Each sensor has a unique 64-bit ID factory embedded, allowing multiple units to reside on a single data pin and read using software to differentiate each.

Reading the data from the sensor does require coding of the 1-Wire protocol and can be complex. There are several libraries for Arduino and Raspberry Pi available, depending on your requirements. Each DS18B20 sensor does require an external 4.7k resistor between the data (DQ) and Vdd leads. We have resistors available separately.

Each DS18B20 consists of three leads

• Red wire for Power (Vdd)
• Black wire for Ground (GND)
• Yellow wire for Data (DQ)

This cable is prewired and waterproofed (with heat shrink) version of the DS18B20 sensor. Handy for when you need to measure something far away, or in wet conditions. While the sensor is good up to 125°C the cable is jacketed in PVC so we suggest keeping it under 100°C.
