The quartz crystal oscillator has been used in laboratories since the 1920s and is prized for its extreme ability to measure precious movements such as the rotation rate of the Earth. The general public had to wait until the 1960s before quartz clocks and quartz clock movements were mass produced. Lucky for you, we live in a time when quartz clocks and time only clock movements are now available for purchase.

These mechanisms are a simple quiet design, great for DIY projects and are powered by one AA battery (not include).

The hands for this model consists of white hours, minutes and seconds pointer.
