The UHF Lightning Surge Protector provides inline surge protection for coaxial feed lines using standard UHF connectors. Featuring a PL-259 (UHF Male) connector on one side and an SO-239 (UHF Female) connector on the other, it can be easily installed into many existing antenna systems without requiring additional adapters.

This protector utilizes gas discharge tube (GDT) technology, a commonly used protection method for RF and communications installations. Under normal operating conditions the protector remains non-conductive while allowing RF signals to pass. During a voltage surge event, the gas discharge element helps provide a path to ground when connected to a suitable earth grounding system.

An integrated grounding terminal allows the protector to be connected to a station ground. Proper grounding practices are essential for effective surge protection and equipment safety.
