AMS1117 is a series of low dropout three-terminal regulators with a dropout of 1.3V at 800mA load current. AMS 1117 features a very low standby current 2mA. The AMS1117 offers thermal shut down and current limit functions, to assure the stability of the chip and power system. It uses a trimming technique to guarantee output voltage accuracy within ±2%.

The AMS1117 is a fixed 3.3V surface mount voltage regulator that can deliver up to 800mA output current. It comes in the popular SOT223 form factor.
