LED Bead Aluminum Base
The base is for use with LED Beads. The beads are soldered directly to this carrier board. A small dot of a Heat Sink Compound (Thermal Grease), about the size of a grain of rice, should be placed beneath the center of the LED and the aluminum base. The Heat Sink Compound is necessary to efficiently move the heat from the LED Bead to the aluminum base.
LED Beads: LED Beads are not included with the Bead Board base plate PCB.

The base plate measures 20mm and construction consists of a PC board material bonded to an aluminum base plate. The plate is suitable for 1 to 5 watt LED Beads.
Construction of Aluminum LED Base
Combine a LED Bead to the Aluminum base plate by soldering the two connection leads. Watch for polarity markings on the LED Bead (by a polarity marker on the pins) and matching to the aluminum base plate.
