LED Sunflower Heat Sink
Perfect for 1, 3, 5, 10 watt LEDs
Aluminum alloy heat sink specifically for use with High Power LEDs for cooling. The Sunflower design of the cooling fins allows for free airflow around each cooling airfoil, providing a more aggressive cooling solution.
The heat sink has a total of six mounting holes, four for 10 watt LEDs, tapped with an M3 x 6mm thread, and two holes tapped with M2 x 6mm thread. Four M3 x 6mm screws are included with the package, while additional screws or 4mm screws are available separately.
Heat sink measures 90mm at its maximum diameter and 10mm in height (3.5-inch x 0.4-inch).
When mounting a STAR LED to the heat sink with a metallic fastener, care must be taken not to short out the terminals of the LED.
A heat sink compound (Thermal Grease) should also be applied between the LED base and the surface of the heat sink to aid in transferring heat.
